If you wear contact lenses, do you feel like it makes your life easier? I have tried them off and on in the past, and for me they seemed like a hassle.

Yes and no. I have the gas perm kind so they are not disposable which is simplier than disposable in my opinion.
However, I tend to "hide" behind my glasses so they are good for my self confidence. It is worth the extra boost in my self confidence.

I DETEST wearing glasses, so for me, contacts are definitely simpler! I put them in by habit each morning (have worn them since I was 17!)....and I never think about them. And, for us, contacts are MUCH cheaper, too. We get our visit and a year's supply for $20. Glasses are about $100!! Ouch!

I go back and forth. If I am hanging out around the house, I will wear my glasses. If I am going to go out I will put my contacts in. If I am going to be out all day, I wear my contacts so that I can wear my sunglasses!! So, I have both....I think it is worth it to be comfortable....JMO.

When I wear my glasses all the time, my self confidence drops big time. Not sure why it does but it does. Plus mine don't seem to be fitting well right now and keep sliding down my nose.
I also love my contacts minus the occasional problems when I put one in wrong or there is something on it.

Same here. Wearing glasses seems to age me. Contacts help me to look younger. You know how some people have a face for glasses and some don't? I fall in the "don't" category. I've never looked good in glasses. I have very fair skin and very dark hair and it's hard to find glasses that look good with those features.
No matter how much I have my glasses adjusted, they always slide down my nose. I request the thinnest lenses possible, but they're still very thick because I have bad astigmatism. I like wearing contacts because I don't have to have that weight on my face that I have to keep fixing.
I wear gas perms -- I've been told by eye professionals that these harder lenses have actually prevented my sight from getting worse. Apparently, having that hard lens on your eye actually helps to hold its shape.
I don't know if wearing contacts makes my life simpler, but they sure do make me happier than I would be if I had to wear glasses all the time.

I go back and forth between the 2...It doesn't make my life any simplier but it doesn't add any time or effort either, does that make sense? I do exactly what Stacey does...if I am going out I wear contacts so that I can wear my sunglasses, but for hanging out around thie house, I wear my glasses.

Yep, I could have written just about everything in this post
I have to have the gas perms, had eye issues as a youngster, and my vision has changed very little in the last 10 years. I have had the same contacts now for 4 years, and I only got new ones then because I had some nasty deposits on the old ones from my first pregnancy. Oddly, I could still see fine, in spite of the cloudy circle in the center. And the new ones are the same prescription as the old ones.
For me, contacts do make my life simpler, because they don't have to be readjusted everytime a kid knocks them around my face!

I never knew this! I have only worn gas perms because of my astigmatism. It is bad and I don't like the vision I get from soft contacts. They don't bother me because, well, that is all I have known. My vision has not deteriorated since I started wearing them. Cool! I learn something new everyday! Thanks!

I tried contacts before, and they were a huge hassle! I am very comfortable in my glasses (had them since age 12!) and they are so simple!
