Ds drew me a picture of daddy and daughter, signed his name and wrote I'm so sorry on it. He was trying to make me feel better after I read a card from a friend that made me cry.

I have another simple pleasure. I rarely balance my checkbook, but, the kids are behaving (another huge pleasure) so what the heck. It balanced, hope those of you who know me are sitting down, to the penny! No one repeat this to DH or he will think I can do this every month!

I know I complained about my grandson and daughter, but I was really happy to see them, especially my grandson, since I have not seen him in quite awhile. Now by the time they leave, I may be nuts...

Also, I am so glad that I don't have to drive in the cities very often. Makes me like my small town even more!!

Once again it involves kids. Today on the way to the pool (sunny day) my 6 yr old and the daycare almost 6 yr old were talking about Wi system. Daycare boy told my ds that while he doesn't have the money he is sure his parents would buy for E. I piped in that I just don't see that happening. Daycare boy said no they really like him and I am bored of getting everyone I know a glow in the dark soccer ball

I love listening to the their conversations

One more thing. My grandson did not want to go to sleep, and I was laying on my bed watching tv. He climbed up there, curled up next to me and went right to sleep

Simple pleasure for me today was huckleberry picking in the mountains with my family. I even brought my camera along to get some photos to document the moments. We do this every year but never have had photos. I guess that since joining this forum I have wanted to get more photos of every day things to remember them on paper instead of just in the mind.
