I thought I read something here (or maybe somewhere else) about a place to get sturdy cloth bags for grocery shopping for only 99 cents a piece. Am I crazy?

Safeway sells them for $0.99 each and I love theirs. Though my mother stole one of mine!

Spoodler on here was telling everybody about cloth bags that she bought at a flea market that were .50 cents I believe. I sent her some money & she bought me some & sent them to me & I love them. You should PM her for information.

All of our grocery stores are starting to carry them. I just wish I could remember to bring them into the store when I shop .

Most of the major grocery stores in Canada sell them for that price, as well as Walmart. I prefer the ones from Loblaws, very sturdy, holds so much that I often can't carry them.

I got two canvas beach bags at Walmart to use. They are huge, I can usually fit a weeks worth of groceries in them and they carry easily. They were $9.99 at the beginning of the summer, but I'm sure they'll have them on clearance by now. It was well worth the price for me.
