This is a good idea - I know I have dozens of clipped recipes lying around on my bookshelves and stuck in my cookbooks . . .

Task - Organize your recipes. Make a 3 ring binder for Favorite Family Recipes and another for Recipes to Try. Notebook #1 - gather all your favorite recipes from cards, magazines, cookbooks, etc. On 8 1/2 by 11 in paper photocopy recipes you use frequently. Divide them into categories and place in your notebook. Notebook #2 - put all the ones you clip in this notebook (under the same categories as the other). Once you've tried them, if you like them move them to notebook #1.

I think I'll do this for the notebook #2, but instead of creating a new notebook #1, I'll use one of those blank recipe books. I have one of those already started.

Have fun - if you love to cook like I do, this will be a fun one - otherwise, well maybe you don't have as many recipes to go through, so it won't be that bad!

I do this - when I make a recipe out of a cookbook - I copy it on 81/2 x 11 & if we like it I put it in our recipe binder of favorites! This makes it easy to pick old favorites! Also, I make a list of our 21 favorite meals and try to make meals off of this with a "test it" night each week for new things!
