What's your Simple Pleasure for today, Friday?

My SP is that we are a day closer to school starting! I also got to get out last night for 3 hours all by myself!!! My other simple pleaure is posted here Meanest Mom to Best Mom in 60 seconds FLAT!

DD and I watched High School Musical today (to gear up for HSM2 tonight) and I am crushing on Corbin Bleu just a bit... So watching that was my simple pleasure

Have you been in the Spotlight yet?

At first I thought I haven't had any special pleasures today, but then I remembered:
this morning DH whispered to me before he left for work that he had made me a pot of coffee, ready and warm for whenever I got up. I usually only have coffee on the weekends, so having a pot on Friday was a treat! I needed it too - poor baby is sick and not sleeping well (so of course, neither am I).

Yesterday I left baby with DH so I could go on a professional outing (CEU credit), which was great because I got to talk to ADULTS and got out of the house for a couple of hours. That was definitely a simple pleasure! I also got a chance to drive my old car -- my fun little stick shift that I had to give to DH when the baby got here (now I drive the soccer-mom SUV, not nearly as fun).

Hands down it was my ds, 5.5 waking up and cooing like a mourning dove. When I went in there, he insisted on snuggling for about 15 mins. I'm taking all I can get I know it is a matter of time before he doesn't want to do that anymore!

My kids have been playing together nicely today! I haven't had to break-up too many arguments today!

Just watching my kids play today knowing it is the last weekday of summer before school starts. I am blessed to be in their lives.

I had a garage sale today. I did not make a record amount, but $85 is pretty good for no big ticket items and it was a beautiful day to sit outside all day!!

~Happiness is a large family~

I made and canned Peach Butter today with fresh peaches from the local Farmer's Market. They will taste like summer when the cold weather is here in a few months! I feel so accomplished!

I took my kids to Soldan's to look at the pets. They loved it and it was free, since we have one right down town.

I unexpectedly got today off...I normally babysit on Mon., Wed., and Fri. for my sister's three little ones.

Sooo...I got to spend the day with Abby and her imaginary friend, Nathaniel...just having fun being out 'n' about!

I also did a little something for special for a little someone special...she'll get it in the mail next week!
