I notice the biggest difference with jellies- the organic stuff made without high fructose corn syrup really, IMO, tastes a hundred times better. I was surprised at first, then kind of mad that I have eaten crummy jelly most of my life.

Milk- not sure. We don't have much dairy stuff in the house.

Bananas and carrots... can't really say that I can taste the difference.

Any other thoughts?

Truthfully I didn't really think there should be a difference in taste. The jellies maybe because it is a different type of sugar used.

You might be able to with milk if you bought it straight from the dairy itself. Milk taste depends a lot on the type of cow and what the cow is fed. But since most dairys sell to a process plant you're really drinking a bunch of different cows milk - so I don't think you're really going to notice a tast there as well.

As for carrots and bananas, I wouldn't think there would be any major difference there.

Oh...I can definitely taste a difference in some things.

Milk, The Horizon 1% or 2% milk is SOOOOOO creamy and yummy tasting. I LOVE milk and I can definitely taste a difference. When I buy the store brands organic and other organic brands, I can't tast the difference so much. I try to buy the Horizon as much as I can.

I can taste a difference in organic carrots. They taste more like...well...a carrot, rather than just a crunchy orange thing.

Tomatoes, definitely taste better to me.

Grapes, cannot taste a difference.

Bananas, I cannot taste a difference.

It is hard to find meat in my area (I can't wait until Trader Joes opens up in a few months), but the chicken I have tried has tasted the same.

Apples, taste the same as regular to me.

Lettuce and mixed greens taste better.

Prepared salsas and spaghetti sauces taste better to me...they seem to taste more like the ingredients rather than all the extra sugar and crap added to regular sauce.

Jnbythesea, I will definitely have to try the Jams and Jellies when Trader Joes comes to town. Do they taste more like homemade preserves?

Oh my gosh, we can tell a HUGE difference in the organic apples we get! My favorite are the Gala and they are absolutely scrumptious (organic).

The regular, pesticide-laden Gala are not nearly as good. We have done taste-tests many times and have found this to be true every time.

**note ** At first, I thought my husband was just being quirky and "gung ho" about the organic apples b/c he kept raving about them and saying how much better they were. I did finally have to admit he was RIGHT. he he

Well, I dunno about a difference in taste since I shop organic only when the whim strikes. I do like those weird mixed veggie chips though. It's some sort of "exotic" blend that comes in a black bag. I hate chips but those things are addicting. I also drink Hanson's sodas. Oh, oh! If you can find it Ginseng Cola is AMAZING!

...<_< Excuse the rambling. I just loves me my foodstuffs.

I second the organic Gala apples. My *very* picky dd will eat these like there is no tomorrow (one of the few fruits she will eat). They really are delish!

IMO organic milk tastes creamier (we buy the skim). Trader Joes has a dry rubbed bacon that is out of this world (it's nitrate, preservative and antibiotic free).

All organic food seems to taste better to me because I don't have that worry factor about what our family is putting into our bodies. Having said that, we aren't 100% organic because of the expense but we are getting there.

We will definitely have to try the Gala apples. We usually get the Red or Golden Delicious (which I don't really care for anyway, tastewise), because out Harris Teeter doesn't have a good selection.

They sound great!

Tried organic bread. That was pretty tasty. I also LOVE the organic gala apples.

I only buy Fuji apples and was so glad that my grocery store started carrying organic Fuji's, they are so much better than non-organic.

I try to buy all organic fruits and veggies. Bananas to me taste better organic. I haven't noticed a difference with carrots but I always eat them steamed or grilled. Organic spinach and baby lettuce tastes better and mushrooms too. I'd like to try fresh organic green beans, I read they have like 50+ chemicals and pesticides in them so I'm anxious to see if they taste better.

I buy organic raisins, since organic grapes taste so much better, for the kids, I don't eat them though.

We went to one of our locals farms in June and bought strawberries. They were not organic but were the best tasting strawberry I have ever had in my life. They were acutally strawberry red in color, smelled wonderful and tasted like a strawberry should taste. Not something picked in California and shipped to Pennsylvania! I will not waste my money on strawberries again, unless they are in season here.

The only juice I buy now is organic apple juice and it tastes so much better than any other juice I've ever had, tastes like fresh apple cider.

I don't drink milk but I have been buying organic for 3 1/2mo now my dh says it tastes better, the boys don't really notice.

Organic jelly is much better than the jelly with high fructose corn syrup. I too was surprised at how good it tasted. I buy the concord grape Cascadian Farms brand and it smells and tastes just like a grape. I don't mind having a pb&jelly every once in awhile! I really want to try a good organic peanut butter.

Coleman Natural bacon and premade frozen burgers taste better to me. I always buy antibiotic/hormone free chicken (although not stated as organic) but don't notice it tastes better. I just feel better about consuming it.

Egglands eggs or any other antibiotic/hormone free vegetarian fed brands. They taste better and are much bigger.

I don't know about tasting better but I buy organic cereals for the kids.

I haven't bought any yet buy I want to make the switch to organic coffee.

Here is a link the top fruits and veggies you should buy organic if you are concerned about pesticides and chemicals: Top Produce to Buy Organic
