This post is really an eye opener for me about the HFCS. I'm going to try to switch too. What yogurt do you get that is HFCS free? My kids love Trix yogurt but there is an amazing amount of sugar in it. I've been trying to find something with less sugar, but it seems they all have it.

This is just amazing to me. Earlier this spring (when we still had the three teenage boys living with us) I made pancakes and was completely shocked that my husband and all three boys were complaining about the real maple syrup I put out on the table! At my house, growing up, we sometimes had the fake stuff but it was maple syrup that was a real treat. I thought I was doing something pretty special. I evidently was wrong! But at least I can see he's not the only one with this issue.

I will continue buying the maple syrup, Costco, which I usually give part to my mother and she helps with the cost. Currently my husband is mixing the syrup with applesauce when we have pancakes. Hopefully he will come around.

I had maple flavoring, which worked, but I might try adding some actual maple syrup, it might taste even better

They are really good and cheap.
Unfortunately, no safeway. I'd love to find a cheaper cheez-it that wasn't awful for the kids. DS loves them. I found Annie's in my local store....and they had some graham bunnies which I thought were pretty good. DD is not as fond of them as she is of the Teddy Grahams (they are not as sweet or flavorful), but since they are meant to be a treat anyway, I guess that isn't the worst thing in the world. So I am still on the hunt for kids snacks, but I am making progress.....
