I had maple flavoring, which worked, but I might try adding some actual maple syrup, it might taste even better

As far as the kids snacks go, I've been buying O Organics brand from Safeway. They have cheez-it-type crackers with all organic ingredients and cheaper than national brands! Annie's also has cheddar bunnies that the kids like way more than Gold Fish. If you have a Safeway near you, go check out their cereal bars, snack cookies and other items. Unfortunately, no safeway. I'd love to find a cheaper cheez-it that wasn't awful for the kids. DS loves them. I found Annie's in my local store....and they had some graham bunnies which I thought were pretty good. DD is not as fond of them as she is of the Teddy Grahams (they are not as sweet or flavorful), but since they are meant to be a treat anyway, I guess that isn't the worst thing in the world. So I am still on the hunt for kids snacks, but I am making progress.....
