I find it amazing how many people think you have to "smell" clean. I go between using green and natrual cleaners and the other "comercial" ones. I am not a big cleaner but I am a huge ANTI-Bleach woman. I've actually had huge arguments with my MIL about bleach and what-not. She's a retired RN and very strong-willed and opinionated.
I keep hearing about "washing soda" - Is there a difference between baking soda & washing soda? how does it differ from Arm & Hammer? I've added A&H to my laundry to deodorize. I'm still reading the posts here so maybe I'll find my answers.

for my bathtub, I use vinegar and baking soda and drizzle on Suave green apple shampoo. It makes a wonderful smelling paste with a scrubbing consistency. The tub comes out sparkely white and the smell is wonderful.
for the toilet I use baking soda and vinegar.
I use 50/50 vinegar/water and about 10 drops of tea tree oil. I put this in a spray bottle for cleaning counters.

i love this thread! thanks so much. i'm really trying to get away from chemical stuff...
my question is...do the green natural cleaners last a while? or should you really just make enough to use right then and there?

i sell handmade organic body products and honey is one of the face mask ingredients that i use...however i strongly suggest using ONLY organic and/or raw honey. the filtered stuff is nowhere near the same!!! organic honey doesn't burn the skin, it lifts dirt and kills bacteria AND it tightens skin. but the regular store stuff does hardly any of these things the way it should because all of the good stuff has been filtered out and if it's not organic it usually has alot of trace chemicals in it.
rinse your face with WARM water for 2 minutes to open the pores, put the honey on your face, leave it for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with COOL water to close your pores.
hope this helps!
