I love coconut oil for my body but I have always been afraid to use it on my face ( i extremely sensitive skin) but I will recommend Organic Body Recipes by Stephanie Tourles . She has tons of recipes and even lists what skin types it's good for .Your local library interloan system might even have it.

Add a little bit of conditioner to water in a spray bottle and shake well. I use it on my dd's long, curly hair and it works just as well as store bought ones. We use Pantene conditioner.

Another great natural conditioner is diluted apple cider vinegar (it smooths the hair cuticle)...I also add essential oils of rosemary and chamomile to it...to hide the stink of the vinegar! I mix it in a spray bottle and keep it in the shower...any other type of conditioner brings my dd's eczema back!!!!

I've used the vinegar rinse with my straight-haired daughter and it works wonderfully, leaving her hair feeling silky. On my curly-haired daughter, it leaves her hair feeling dry and tangled, so we use a conditioner and a spray-on leave-in conditioner. Once in a while, I also put a homemade deep conditioning hair treatment on her hair.

Do you need to store the virgin coconut oil in the refrigerator? I bought some yesterday and it said to store in fridge after opening. I am battling acne and wrinkles, so I hope this works!

I started using coconut oil for my face and I also have exrremely sensitive skin, but I am so amazed with how my skin has changed. My skin is so very soft and the tone has evened out. No more red/blotchy areas. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it and could not be happier that I tried it. It has even softened my face. I think the lines seem to be softer or gone and I look younger. I was skeptical, but am SOOOOO happy I tried it and recommend anyone to try it. Thanks for whoever put that tip on here!!!!!!!

For those of you that use the coconut oil.... Do you use it every day after you wash your face as a moisturizer before you put your make-up on?
Also....Where do you buy the CO? I know some have mention Whole Foods...Is it maybe sold at Walmart or Walgreens? How much was it and what was the quantity?

TIA!

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this one yet but you can do an easy body scrub by making a pot of coffee. Let the grounds cool and then use them the same day.
