homemade pore cleansing strips (this works like those super-expensive Biore strips)

1/4 teaspoon plain gelatin
3/8 teaspoon milk

Mix in a bowl and microwave for a few seconds to heat. Apply with a makeup brush or Q-tip and let it dry to form a film. (if you use a brush, wash it immediately because it will harden) After 10-15 minutes you can peel off the film.

Here's where I got the original recipe from: Strip it Off! Pore Cleansing Strips You do NOT need a Tablespoon of gelatin, even with 1/4 teaspoon you will have plenty leftover.

Sugaring (waxing alternative)

1/2 lemon, juiced
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. honey

Mix in a glass bowl and microwave 20-30 seconds at a time for 2 minutes, stirring in between. Dust your legs, then spread the mixture in a thin layer on your skin with a wooden stick. Use cotton strips to pull wax off.

My sister swears by this to wax her legs. Here's where the recipe is from: Homemade Sugaring Treatment: Alternative to Body Waxing
