For me, it's brown rice. I know it is better for you. I know you're supposed to get use to it but I just cannot stand brown rice! I've even bought a 25 pound bag one time determined for us to make the switch -- it didn't happen.

I would have to say...whole wheat pasta!!

I've tried to make myself eat it on a few different occasions, and just ended up throwing it away. Too "gritty-tasting" to me....yick! Couldn't get used to it!!

I've got to second the whole wheat pasta, it just seems so heavy. I've heard that some brands are better than others.

I mix my brown rice w/ white rice/bulger wheat/ quinoa. It makes a nice pilaff.

That sounds good -- would you be willing to share your recipe?

I saute an onion in olive oil and sometimes add mushrooms. Add the rice mixture. I just throw in a mixture of rices, bulger wheat and quinoa until I get 2 cups. Stir in around in until it is coated then add 4 cups of water or vegetable stock. I add a vegetable bulion cube and let it simmer. Sometimes at the end, I need to add a little more water if the rice is still too crunchy. It's really good if you add toasted almonds to the top too.

Not exactly a recipe, but that's what I do. Everyone loves this when I make it.

Organic Velveeta, just won't do it. ~just kidding, I dont' think they make an organic cheese food product!

I actually really like brown rice, but it just doesn't go with everything, ya know? Like, when I make fried rice, it doesn't work as well as long grain white rice.

Quinoa would be my thing that I just will not buy, at this moment. If I find a good recipe that makes it taste better, I might, but the ways that I've had it are just not good.
