I grew up living very Green/Hippie living... LOL my parents were hippies thus I was there flower child... So over the years I have gained much knowledge in living green and simple life.. Here are some tips to live by, or at least try to live by...
Listed in no order to my concern, just listed..
1. Cloth Diapers (there is such a variety available today, you can pick and choose which works best for your child, and your living situation, we love our fuzzi bunz pockets) Not only do they save the landfill of thousands of diapers, they are healthier and not subjecting my child to the harsh chemicals that are found in disposable diapers, thus never having a rash or anything.. Means never having to buy diaper rash cream!!!
2. Make your own baby food!!!! I use this one every day...
3. Cloth Wipes... (you can make a wipe solution out of baby shampoo & water) we use wash clothes from the dollar store... I wash them when I do diapers...
4. Energy Efficient Lighting
5. Vinegear and Baking soda cleaning products. (I own nothing with chemicals)
6. Natural Laundry Detergent... (Allens, Seventh Generation)
7. Natural fabric softner (vinegear)
8. Cloth Bags, for grocery shopping or any shopping, I take them everywhere!!!
9. No Teflon in our house.. Cast Iron or Stainless Steel
10. No plastic... Plastic is bad....!!!!
11. Family Cloth (just ask I can explain, instead of using toilet paper)
12. Diva Cup (for my time of the month, better then spending countless amounts of money on tampons or pads, and throwing them into our landfills.)
13. Recylcing everything I can.
14. Consuming less products that have packaging that needs to be recycled.
15. Leaving the car at home, and walking, riding a bike, carpooling.
16. Freecycle (need I say more)
17. Natural Air Freshners (nag champa insense)
18. Natural facial/hair/skin products. (Dr. Bronners, Jason)
19. Co-Sleeping with children (We did not need a crib)
20. Extended Breast Feeding (never any formula!, never any ear infections, heck its free)
21. Rain Barrell for watering plants.
22. Natural light when can be used.
23. Turning off air conditioner, and leaving windows open.
24. Buying Wind Energy.
25. Buying clothing and other household decorations at yard sales, recycling!!!!
26. Not eating meat..... Saves us money, plus we are healthier cause of it..
Thats all I can think of right now... This how we live our lives...
Post your green tips..

The family cloth is good for us,,, though DH does not do it... I do since I am the one home all day, and the only one using the potty here.... Saves us some..
Diva cup.. I LOVE it!!!!! Its soo easy, and though it took me 2 cycles to get used to.. Its great now, I dont even realize its there... Not to mention its way less expensive like pads and tampons can me over time.. They last forever..
And I dont have cramps anymore not sure why/?? Very very nice..

Wow - way to go! I'm working everyday on going a bit more natural and simple. I think they combine so nicely.
We aren't doing the no meat thing, but we're ordering buffalo instead of buying beef and it is really awesome. I love it.

Good to hear others do the same. I've slowly converted to family cloth. My husband thinks its strange and doesn't want to try it. But I have cloth diapered all 5 of my children. Used cloth menstrual pads for 8 years. And think that some paper products are wasteful. Not too say I don't use them some, but very limited use. Great list. Candy
