I was excited to find these "Monopoly-styled" environmental and "animal care" board games for kids!! There are 10 such games at this website, including "Bird-Opoly", "Ocean-Opoly", and I especially liked:

"Garden-Opoly": In this fun game, each player buys garden favorites, collects Clay Pots and trades them in for Greenhouses. Sounds easy enough - but add aphid infestation, water bills and a dandelion outbreak and it becomes a little more difficult... and a lot more fun! LEARN AS YOU PLAY. Each deed back contains interesting facts such as the appropriate climate, soil and watering for each plant, as well as fun facts about origin, popularity, and varieties. A player may even be elected president of the garden club... or may be WEEDING and out of the game for three turns!

You'll just have to check out the site to believe it! How fun! Buy environmental Board-Games at Dirt Works for kids and adults

Here are some more board/card games:

Bioviva: (For ages 8 and up) An adventurer thirsty for knowledge, you travel the world discovering the incredible and fascinating story of planet Earth. Your destination card is your passport as you try to reach the different natural regions of the world and answer surprising questions about Nature and the Environment. (Certain fish are able to climb trees: true or false) - $54.95 Bioviva

Families in Nature: (For ages 7 and up) A card game unlike any other, which combines comical illustrations and multiple choice questions. Players will discover and understand the relationship between creatures and their natural habitats. Ideal for playtime, travel time or anytime! (What does the leopard do when he has leftover food?) - $15.45 Families in Nature

Betting on Nature: Betting on Nature is a game that combines cleverness and expanding knowledge. Players ask each other astonishing questions about Nature. Each player then bets on the answer they think most likely to be true. Easy-to-play fun, instructive game. (Why do bees dance?) - $15.45 Betting on Nature

The game is driven by a systems dynamics model and is presented in a user friendly interface intended for the high school user. Global Warming Interactive

Eco-Kids: EcoKids is Earth Day Canada's environmental education program for youth who care about the planet. Inclludes several interactive games for kids about wildlife, climate change, energy, The North (Canada), waste, and land use!!Games & Activities

Global Warming Kids' Site: This EPA site explains what global warming is and what causes it, and what you can do to help stop it.
