Over here in Australia most stores won't give out plastic bags, you have to buy the "green" fabric bags.

We keep them in the back of the car so they are always on hand.

Wow I wonder if our Walmart is offering them yet? I can sew my own and I'd feel odd at first but then again people look at us weird when we purchase powdered milk, 10 lbs of dry beans and 10 lbs of dry rice..

The bags that I have seen are that price range as well. I won't say they are beautiful bags but they hold up and hold way more than the plastic bags.

Mona Lisa? That's funny! The bags I have are evidently made out of re-cycled plastic of some sort. They're very light weight but like I said very sturdy. We've had some of them since last spring and no breaks! My Safeway bag is black with Safeway's logo on it and my Yoke's bag is green and a Yoke's logo.

I purchased bags from Reuseable bags.com. I have been having problems remembering to bring them into Kohls or Target. I have not had anyone question the use of the shopping bags when I do remember. Some clerks comment that they should be doing this also. Now if I could get my hubby to remember.

Our local Grochery store give 0.06 cents a bag that you bring. So nice. I have seen many people at our Walmart bringing there own bags. I don't think anything of it when I see it. We just bring then to the Grochery store I try to remeber to bring them but I don't always plan to go to walmart.
