I would like to switch over to using my own canvas bags, just haven't done it yet. The only way they will take my returnables back here are in a brown paper bag so that is what I usually ask for at the grocery store. Which because of my mt dew addiction I have a lot of returnables. But I could use my own at walmart and just ask for the paper at the grocery store.

I have been using canvas bags for over 10 years. i love them. I also saw the ones at Meijer's today, nice bags and only .99 cents. I'm going to buy a couple bags at Meijer's this weekend. I do ask for paper bags sometimes - I use paper bags for recycling my papers - that I drop off in a paper gator. I also try to do a lot of recycling at home and have been teaching my son to do the same thing.

I usually keep some bags in the car and at home.

What a great idea -- I usually get paper bags here and there for sending packages which I use to do a lot when we sold on eBay. Not so much anymore.

I've been so proud of myself using them lately. They fit soooo much more than the plastic bags it's great.

Now if I can remember to take them into the store with me.
