Yes, in a heartbeat. If you didn't have to go to the store, you'd save so much time, not to mention gas and those impulse purchases.

I have a fewt imes in the past gotten a grocery service!! I love it!! and yes it was more costly! but I spent less and got less junk!! so in the long run it was better!! and I also got to use coupons!! to be honest I am thinking of going back to this!! as if ou get soo much money of groceries it was free delivery (to the house)
and if I organise it helps!! also stops me from having to go in the freezing cold!! and actually has food in my house!! I am the worst at getting the food!! we gotot he store almost daily!!!

i probably would if i had sick kids or it was winter type weather out and i don't think 4.95 is all that bad. my friend lives in a suburb of seatle wa and safeway even delivers hers to the house she uses it all the time. our small town grocery store will do it for free you just have to walk in and pick it up if you want.

I can remember a time when my dd had a double ear infection, I had strep throat and I just felt terriable. We made the trip to the Dr and then had to go to the store because we literally had nothing for a sick person to eat. I would have loved the opportunity to have then shop for me and bring it to my car.

I know a business in town does this for home bound senior citizens and they get a lot more than that...

I would use it occasionally. Not being able to use coupons would be a turnoff for me depending on what I was ordering, but I read this on their website...

Quote:
With Express Lane, you’ll get the same great VIC savings that you would if you were shopping in the store. And you can use coupons too. Just hand them to your personal shopper when you pick up your groceries, and they’ll be credited to your next online order.
First orders are free of a service charge, so I think I'm going to try it out

Heck yeah I would do that! We currently only have one car and it's driving me crazy! Grocery store delivery would be awesome!

I completely agree about it being helpful to reduce impulse buying. The grocery store I used before I moved out of the town and into the county had this service. I was so tempted to do it. It would have been worth it to me to just pull up to the grocery store instead of shopping at the end of the day when I was tired and hungry. Now, I am a sahm, but I can use the commissary on post. I wish they offered this service. They just moved up to self-checkout so maybe in the future......I would definetely use it for the produce items though since you don't get coupons on those anyway. You can check sale papers to see which produce items are on sale before you go online.

In the town I live in (pop. 3570) we have two smaller grocery stores. One of them does do delivery service. I do not know what the cost is, I may have to give them a call just to find out. i have considered using them before. I think $4.95 fee is very reasonable and would gladly pay it. It would be for sure worth trying out at least once.

I would try it. I think it would keep me from buying impulse items as well as the gas. The problem would be if you forget things you need and ended up using the service too many times.
