While I know that we work hard for our money, there is always more. Somehow, someway, we can get more money if we need to. My time is so valuable to me. Once you watch your children grow and your family change you don't want to waste a second. We do our best to make the most of our time. And that also means not being busy every single second. We need down time to just "be" with each other.

Time - always time. Not to say we don't do things ourselves (we take care of cleaning/lawn work, painting) but overall we don't hesitate to hire for anything beyond our abilities or our abilities to do quickly.

Latest Blog Entry: will we ever be equal?
Blog Entries: 7
I suppose it must be a mixture of both, but I personally choose time. In fact, I quit a high paying job years ago and started a career as a teacher because I could already see that the time I would gain by earning less as a teacher was more important to me. It isn't like the other examples people have given here, but it certainly was a choice of time over money and the cost of making the choice is continually high (certainly much higher than the savings of coupon clipping or deal shopping). And we do opt to have dh's dress shirts cleaned, which saves loads of time and is cheap. And we have also hired a cleaning lady for 2 hours weekly, just so I can spend more time with ds now that I'm working again.

However, if you don't have enough money to keep the roof over your head and food on your table, all the time in the world doesn't really matter!

I think it depends on the imortance of the issue.

My Trees that were getting mutilated by the quick onset of insects last year was Definatly worth the 50 Bucks to get them professionally Sprayed to avoid them dying and Needing More $$ to Replace them later on - Plus they are bigger nicer plants and Trees - so this was a No Brainer for me.

As far as the grass getting to high -
It Can Wait till we have the time!! No it doesn't wait Weeks.... we get to it before it looks too bad -
But I can't imagine paying someone to do that .

Also I can't imagine paying anyone to Clean my house, Unless it was an Immediate Need!!

Like the health dept. deemed it un habitable or something! lol

I also can't seem to Find the time to Menu PLan and Coupon Cut. -
For me it saves time Going to ONE store and Buying only whats on sale, and planning my meals later.
