Also when putting laundry in the washer, I button up or zip up all my clothes. I figure I am gonna have to do it anyways. So than it saves a second or two when I am folding or hanging clothes up. that is kinda a silly one.

The pre-chopped onions is a great idea. How long do they keep? I've purchased the frozen garlic at Trader Joes, as it is frozen in 1 teaspoon cubes, but I could have been making them myself!
With regard to zipping up stuff . . . my local consignment store gives out a flyer about how to keep kids clothes in good shape so they're more apt to be accepted at the store (they're pretty picky) - and one of their tips is to "zip up anything with a zipper" because when they're left open, in the washer and/or dryer, they rub up against the other clothes and can make the fabrics look worn out faster.
