I like to give my items to places that give the items away free. There is a place but they are not open until tues. FYI- I have had this stuff ready to go for over a week. I can't go on the day the are open for donations, but they will make arrangements with me. I don't know if they take toys and can't find out until monday. OR should I just get rid of it to Goodwill OR do I do Lupus Foundation and they caome and get it on tues.

also, I have many EUC toys that are NOT with the sets but I have all the pieces. would u put the sets together or just give as is? I was hoping to barter many items but there are just too many. also I prefer to get rid of stuff and not bring in more.

Personally I think I would go for whoever would come and pick it up from me. And probably the soonest seeing as how you've already had it for a while.

Even if you give it to Goodwill or other programs like that, they do a lot of good things for needy families, especially this time of year. Your donation, although not given freely to people in need, will help them just as much!

As far as putting together the toys, I don't think I would unless I had time. Or another option is to have your kids put them together. They know the toys better and can probably do it faster!

I agree with the previous poster. I'd just take it to the most convenient place or have them come pick it up if that were an option.

okay, here's what I did.
My mom is going to Mexico and I gave her my stuff to take to an orphanage there.
I gave my mom: 2 large garbage bags of clothes, 1 overflowing grocery bag of shoes, 2 large garbage bags of toys, 1 large dollhouse, 2 other large toys.
I still have boxes of toys I was going to barter that I need to try and pack up within the next 2 days. The practically new sets I am hoping to just put them in bags as they are all compatible and then get rid of them. I would then just need to sort by 2 different types rather than 6 playsets of 2 different types.
I am feeling pretty good today.
