I know it is better for you and evidently better for the environment ... I still can't help it! My family hates brown rice. I also hate brown rice and can't seem to make the switch! Though I have started adding about 1/4 cup of this speciality brown rice to my regular rice! That's a start!

Brown rice vs white rice

The article does make one statement that I do well! Buy your rice in bulk! I do that. Keep it in a jar on my counter and freeze the rest!

You can learn to love brown rice- my family has. They don't even know the difference. Now I never even think of buying white... I just have to read labels though, because not all brown rice is equal. Some has no more fiber than white. I find that the higher fiber types are more tasty. It was about a two year transition, though, to give up the white all the way.

I love brown rice! We have it all the time, my kids don't really seem to care either way. We're also big fans of wild rice.

It took me a while but I have grown to really like it. My sister and I have even gotten my mom to switch. Try different brands and kinds...I find some have better texture than others. I also like mixing other things in to it to add a little something extra
