For those of us that are making the switch to cloth shopping bags it appears that the one big problem is, "How do we remember to take our bags with us?!"

I'm getting better but with getting two kids, my purse (with diapers for the baby), the dog running through my legs, and so forth, I forget! And I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one out there.

Any suggestions?

Sometimes they are in the car and I forget to take them in the store. Happened yesterday. I realized they were in the car and I'm kicking myself and thinking should I pay and then run out to the car to get them? Then I realized I have to bag my groceries myself - why not bag them at the car? DUH! Sometimes the obvious escapes me. LOL

Maybe tying them to my coupon container would help. I only forget the coupons 75% of the time.

I keep a clear sterlite bin in the back of my suburban. It contains a backpack (extra diapers, jackets, change of clothing for everyone, emergency snack foods, etc.), first aid kit, shopping cart cover and my shopping bags. As soon as I'm done unpacking groceries or my Target stuff, I put the bags back into my vehicle. Now that I'm used to the cloth bags, I can't stand plastic. This method works for me

I actually remembered my bags today, I'm so proud of myself!
I'm going to start leaving them on the floor of the backseat of the car, in front of ds carseat. I always have to go to that side to get him out and I pretty much always check the floor in case he has pulled off a shoe. If I leave them in the back, I'll never remember!
Hope it works....
