I know this has come up here before -- which foods to buy if you can only give a % of your budget to organics.

This article mentions these 12 foods.

1. Beef
2. Milk
3. Coffee
4. Peaches
5. Apples
6. Sweet Bell Peppers
7. Celery
8. Strawberries
9. Lettuce
10. Grapes
11. Potatoes
12. Tomatoes

This is the article The Dirty Dozen: Top 12 Foods To Eat Organic - thedailygreen.com if you want to check out the reasons why they feel you should buy these foods organic.

My Chiropractor told me to buy organic carrots.
She said that carrots are a "clean up " crop and farmers plant them to get rid of all the "crap"; I am assuming chemicals, pesticides, ect in the soil. So the carrots soak all this stuff up. If you buy organic, they do not use any of these things to farm.

Honestly though, we are struggling just to buy non organic food, that does not cost anywhere near the amount of organic. I would love to switch over to organic things, but how do you all afford it with the price of groceries??

Thanks Mel.

I always do the top 2. The rest are dependent on sales.
