I often wondered how people saved so much with coupon clipping.
I have always bought store brand items.
I do clip coupons for buy one get one when it comes to meat and produce.
But I am also very challenged when it comes to being organized that clipping coupons would just be a thorn in my side.
I know if I bought name brand things I would have to clip coupons to save what I do buying store brand.

With all that said, groceries are still outragous lately! My Grocery bill just keeps climbing while I am buying the same exact thing!

THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS!!! While I admire those who can do coupons, it seems to be a futile exercise fpr me. I need to spend less time clipping coupons & more time de-cluttering right now! Because I am naturally disorganized & scattered, the coupons then become a part of my clutter which is NOT what I need right now!

So glad I stopped by today!! Just what I needed to hear!!!

Well I am all for coupons! I normally save $30 - $40 weekly with them, yes it some work, and it is much harder to do when you have your kids with you while shopping. I don't use a coupon just b/c I have it, I only use if it is something I need, and it will be the best price, I am all for store brand items. I shop Kroger and they mail me coupons for their store brand items and that is a great bonus! They also always double coupons up to $0.99.
Right before I head off to the store I go through my coupons, trash the expired ones and pull out the ones I will need, then I put them in order as in the order I will find the items at the store and stick them in an envelope, I put a paperclip on the last coupon. Then while I am shopping if I buy an item I have a coupon for, I move the coupon back behind the one with the paperclip on it. That way when I go to check out they are already sorted.
