I so totally agree with this! I used to do the coupon thing all the time and no matter how organized I would try to be about it, I would always eventually end up with a huge messy stack of coupons that would expire and clutter up a drawer. I will use coupons now if I see one that is for something I am going to buy anyway, but I have almost completely stopped doing the whole ad/coupon match up thing. It just ended up being more time consuming than it was worth. For myself, who is organizationally challenged, I have found that I can use the time I was investing in that (unsuccessfully) to do other things, like cook dinner, which is a huge money saver for us when I do it, or keep the laundry done up so I do not need to buy as many clothes for the children, etc. And I do not have the mess of all the coupons.
All of that being said, I admire those of you who do save tons of money with coupons. I sure miss the thrill of looking at the grocery store receipt and seeing the percentage of money I saved with coupons!
