I am definitely having to use the "three times" technique for decluttering. It's like the first time is a shock to the system, but then once you start going back it becomes easier to part with things. I did a lot of work with my crafting supplies this weekend, and I have been decluttering in the garage for TWO WEEKS. Just today it got to the point where my mom could notice the change:cool:

I know how you feel...it really does get easier to get rid of stuff the more you do it. On Sunday DH and I completely gutted our craft/spare guest room/sewing room/storage room/ebay storage for out of season stuff/baby stuff storage...well, you get the picture. It took us the whole day but we did it!!! I am embarassed to say how many boxes we filled to donate, but I will say it was OBSCENE!

It feels so good to have that room cleared out! It has been weighing on our mind for a while and is the only room that I felt like I had lost control over...whew!

Now it is a playroom for dd and there are a couple of shelves of craft items, instead of ridiculous amounts of crap that I could never use in a million years.
