I've done some experimenting and this is what I have come up with for a glass (windows, tv, mirrors) cleaner:

A spray bottle of water.

I spray the surface, wipe it with my regular towel and then go over the streaks with a microfiber cloth.

I really should look into those microfiber clothes. I have one for my camera. Where did you get them? How long do they last? And how much are they?

You can get them at Walmart in the cleaning aisle.

I got mine from the hardware store my dh works, I don't know how much they are because he pays cost and mine have lasted me a couple years so far. I wash them in the washing machine when they get too dusty and dirty.

YOu know, Windex is like my big green downfall! Something about that blue liquid ... I'm like a moth a flame! I currently have a new bottle but when I run out of that I'll try it!

Glass cleaners have an additive that is left on the glass reducing streaks. When you switch to some other method, there is a transition until all the stuff is gone. The first time or two add just a drop or two of dish liquid to the spray bottle. After that plain water or water with a little vinegar works just fine. Any lint free cloth shouldn't leave streaks. Doesn't for me.

That's a good tip about the dish liquid. I haven't used a commercial glass cleaner for a year or more, so I didn't have a problem. I was using vinegar, but why waste my vinegar on a mirror if I don't have to? haha
