Default wasting grey water

So our septic system is out of order ( all I need right now lol )

So we are putting bowls under the tap to wash our hands, and rinse of this or that.

It is AMAZING!!!! how much water is sorta "wasted". Anyway, we are suffering a drought so to speak so we are taking the water out to our orange trees....

I guess if there is nothing harmful in the water, like bleach, I suppose that you could always dump your gray water like that.

Well, it's illegal most places to use gray water, because of the possibility of contamination or harmful products, as you mentioned. But we are also in a drought, so many govt officials are encouraging some (intelligent) reuse of gray water here, too, despite the law. A lot goes down the drain in our normal life, that's for sure!
