He was on talking about his new book, Amazon.com: Does This Clutter Make My Butt Look Fat?: An Easy Plan for Losing Weight and Living More: Books: Peter Walsh. I love Peter Walsh because he gets to the root of the issues as to why people have their clutter issues.

It hasn't aired here yet, Oprah show that is , I wanted to see this, I love this guy--I need him at my house!

I did. I actually put "Watch Oprah" on my to-do list yesterday. I love Peter Walsh and can't wait for our library to get his new book. In fact, I could hardly sit still and keep jumping up at the commercial breaks to clear out stuff. I managed to fill a laundry basket for the garage sale pile (come on warm weather), a garbage bag for the Goodwill, and a garbage bag for the garbage man. DH is a packrat and after reading PW's last book, I can see that it stems from his childhood and being shuffled from parent to parent having to move almost every year. My big issue is getting rid of "might need it somedays" and "gifts that are horrible but from someone I love". I keep repeating my mantra about living my best life when looking through my stuff.

*snort* I do the EXACT same thing!! I'm like trying to drag old storage boxes into the living room so I can sort while I watch! It's just so inspiring, I wanna get started RIGHT AWAY!!

I've been working hard to declutter over the last few months, and this last month has been decluttering the "keep" boxes - but I'm doing it!

I wanted to clean too. My house is relatively decluttered, however I love organizing and keeping things really clean. This winter I tackled my basement and organized it and got rid of stuff but I can already see that I need to do it again.

Peter Walsh is cool. He is so direct but he is a sweetheart as well.

It think he is great I just have 1 problem. He seems to treat the smytoms <SP?> ot the problem. When he and the team cleaned out that lady's house they never address what caused it to get so clutter up in the first place. I hate to say it but I bet her house is cluttered up again a year from now.
