Did you know that it costs you more to be overweight in many ways? The University of Illinois did a study: Americans use an extra BILLION gallons of gas each year transporting heavier people. Airplanes use an extra 350 million gallons of gas yearly because of overweight passengers. This extra gas consumption produces an extra 3.8 tons of carbon dioxide each year, which warms the atmosphere.

Now I wish I had seen Peter Walsh on Oprah. Oh well- guess I'll read the book...
