I need a way to organize the top of my boys dresser's. They have library books, school books, church school folder, and misc things thrown on there. What would you suggest?

I got my DD a day of the week drawer unit. The only downside is it only has drawers for Monday thru Friday. I wish I could have found a unit that included Saturday and Sunday, too. I'm sure I've seen plastic seven drawer units in the stores but you'd have to mark the drawers.

Alternately, we have a backpack or tote bag for each activity. Yes, it makes for a lot of bags but it's easy to load up the car.

I actually like the tote for each activity idea. Keep the library books in a tote - you can even hang it from a hook somewhere. That way when they want to read something they know where to find them, when they're done, they know where to put them back, and when it's time to head to the library you can just grab it and go!

I have a hook in the laudry room (since it's a pass thru to the garage). It's where we keep a bag with my boys soccer stuff, a tote for the library books, etc.

HTH!

I think I will get one of those multi-hook things and they can put a tote bag with library books in it as well as their school backpacks. I was thinking of getting them both a little rubbermaid basket for little things on their dresser (brush, deodrant, etc)
