5 people + 1 Lab in a 1,500 sq/ft house. 3 bed, 1 bath, LR, FR, kitchen & 2 decks on 1 acre. Could use another bath and a much bigger kitchen. I dont like huge houses, I like cozy. And should we stay here, at least we wont need to downsize later on. LOL

I don't know the sq. footage. I am thinking it is around 1300. We are a family of 7 and we are tripping over each other. The rooms are small and the 4 girls (ages 6,3,2 and 1) share a room. We live in a townhouse.

We are a family of 5 with two big dogs and our house is 1475 sqft.
It's great for now, but I am worried about when my children get older. The boys share a room now and DD has her own room, but it's not very big.
Hopefully when all of them are in school I can start working on my career and get a job and maybe move to a home in a different part of town (I am not too fond of the schools around here) and maybe one that has at least one extra room.
I am happy that we were able to get this home though. I was 19 and Dh was 22 when we bought it. I knew the previous owners (I was their nanny for 2 yrs until I got pregnant with DS) and they tried to sell it for 105,900 and after trying to sell it for quite a few months she called me and asked if we wanted to buy it for 90,000.....We were ON it. What a blessing, right?

We just moved into a two bedroom apartment. My husband is going to graduate school so we downsized to move into student housing. We only have one daughter, but I'm sure we'll have at least one more while he's in school. I was actually excited to get rid of stuff when we moved out of our house.

My husband is in graduate school too! Off topic .. but just thought I'd share that I know what it's like.

We have 4 in our family and live in a 1200 sq ft home. It's enough space for now. My husband decided to go off and start his own business, and took the $ we were saving for renovations and additions to invest in his company. So the basement (unfinished) has become his office space. He's such a packrat that the basement is pretty cluttered -- but that's his own fault :P

700 sq ft, 3 people (will be 4 soon, once we adopt). the only thing i'd change right now is to have a half bath, just b'c sometimes DS needs to go potty really bad when DH is in there. We have plans to expand, adding a master bedroom and a half bath (probably around 200 square feet, maybe?). That may happen next Fall.

Since I first answered this question last May, our house has grown by about 240 sq. ft. We remodeled part of the basement. It'll be a family room / spare bedroom. This will help greatly during the holidays when we always have out-of-town relatives staying here. Previous years, we were piling them up like cordwood! The guy comes today to install a heater down there.

We have 900 Sq. Feet for a family of 3 (with #4 arriving in January) and two dogs!

I used to want a bigger house. But since we invested money into a new patio door (for security reasons) and lamiate floors (because really, who can keep carpet sparkling new with two dogs, kids, and a husband ) I am happy where I am. I do wish I had a second bathroom, but we have a narrow lot so any addition would be difficult.

I like our house because it is in a good location, nice area, great schools, and only $1000 mortgage! Its nice to have such low monthly payment so we can use our money elsewhere. Plus, I have such a hard time keeping the house clean as it is, I couldn't imagine have to clean an even larger house!

We hope we can keep this house when it is time to upgrade and keep it as a rental property. Kaylee was born in this house and hopefully so will #2.
