I'm looking for ways to better organize the boys arts and crafts stuff. They have tons of crayons, colored pencils and markers. They also have different types of paper... coloring books... and other stuff.

How do you organize your kids stuff?

You could put the crayons markers and pens in wipes containers

I bought a 77 cent clear container for my dd crayons. It is just the right size for her to carry around. They had bigger ones too that would be good for larger items like markers and scissors. I designated a (high) kitchen cupboard for craft supplies. I also keep the educational games, flash cards and activity books up there so they don't destroy them. I have to stand on a chair to reach them, but it works for me. When they are older I want to have a desk/ shelf area where they can put their own things away, with each of them having their own drawer and basket.(I saw it in a Potter Barn Kids catalog.)

I have a 3 drawer plastic cart w/wheels in the closet. The top drawer has crayons, markers and pencils. The girls each have their own containers. The middle drawer has paper. The bottom drawer is for coloring books and workbooks.

On the top shelf of the closet, I have 2 bins of art & craft supplies.

I also have a separate bin for play doh and play doh tools.

I also have a 3 drawer plastic container. Top drawer is for playdough, middle drawer is for markers, crayons, and stamps, bottom drawer is for paper and coloring books. I keep crayons and markers in smaller plastic boxes.
Paint is kept in a basin in the basement so they can't get into it unless I want them to.
I have a container that is the stockpile for extra crayons, pencils, paints, notebooks, glue, etc that I stock up on during the going back to school sales.
