Borrowed from Yahoo! News:
'Earth Hour' to plunge millions into darkness - Yahoo! News

"Twenty-six major cities around the world are expected to turn off the lights on major landmarks, plunging millions of people into darkness to raise awareness about global warming, organisers said....

...Cities officially involved in 'Earth Hour' include Aalborg, Aarhus, Adelaide, Atlanta, Bangkok, Brisbane, Canberra, Chicago, Christchurch, Copenhagen, Darwin, Dublin, Hobart, Manila, Melbourne, Montreal, Odense, Ottawa, Perth, Phoenix, San Francisco, Suva, Sydney, Tel Aviv, Toronto and Vancouver."

Is your city involved?
How do you feel about this?

See link above for the entire article.

I just heard it on our news and was surprised. I have pledged to turn off the lights (and just notified my DH). Now I need ideas. We have a 2 and 4 year old. I will get some flashlights and candles but what shall we do???

Our kids are so excited about this for tonight. Excited about sitting in the dark for a hour! My dd wants to do it every Saturday night now.

This is what my dd said too. Then she said she wanted to start doing this EVERY night. I think it had something to do with the ambiance of the 6 candles we had going all over the house, though, because about 1/2 hr. into it she was "bored"...lol
