Rent the GPS when traveling in large city that you do not know! It was a life saver while we were in L.A. this past week! Of course make sure your's does not break down on the last day of your trip because you do come to rely on that handle dandy little piece of machinary. I can laugh about that now! But at the time I about had a nervous breakdown!

Seriously it was well worth the $12.00 a day that we paid for it! I only got turned around one time while driving in the L.A. area!

That's great. I could use a GPS in cities I am used to...and I guess they probably wouldn't be considered cities, lol.

Since hubby travels all the time, he owns an international GPS. Not only are they helpful when you're driving, you can take them out of the car and have them guide you with battery power when you're walking. It really helps when you're trying to remember where you left your rent-a-car!

Hubby loves his GPS so much, he bought me one for my car. Now, I thought that was rather silly. I live in Idaho for goodness sakes! It isn't like there are lot of places where I can get lost. Well, you'd be surprised how helpful it can be. At first I used it only to see if the GPS would recommend a route that was different from my usual. Then I started to use it to locate playdates and find interesting new stores. When I go downtown, I tend to park in the one lot I know best. Now, I ask the GPS to find the closest lot for me. The last time the GPS helped most, I used it to look up an address for a girlfriend so she could get to the house of a mutual acquaintance.

I love GPS! I use it in the area I live in...but I really have ZERO sense of direction.

Since we travel so much, we have the maps for places like the UK, Europe etc I believe we have the mapping for the entire USA. It was just worth it for us to buy the mapping for our GPS so we had it for future trips.

The GPS goes everywhere with me...whether I'm home, or traveling. It's awesome.

We got it when we rented the car. We ordered it in advance but all that had been returned were broken! One came in the door just as we were putting the carseats in our car!
