Last Christmas, my siblings and I decided to only buy gifts for our kids instead of each other too. It was so nice to cut down on the amount we were spending. I am going to try and push it further with DH's siblings this year who don't have kids and just encourage us all to save our money and enjoy our time together. DH and I try to set limits on how much we will spend on each other, but we often go over and we are trying to stop this too.
