When I thought MiracleGro was organic -- after it came in a green box! And I could toss out a water bottle without feeling I was destroying the earth. Or I could eat at Arby's without worrying about the cows that they truck down from Canada or what I'm actually eating.

The good ole days!

im still in that mode. Though I definitely wanna become environmentally literate, im still not ready to give up some stuff. Im definitely changing my bulbs this year, I will unplug my lamps and stereo equip. for I dont use them often. I am recycling shopping bags at my daughter's school, and im also planting with organic mulch.

I'm really glad my kids are out of diapers, so I don't have to deal with the "should I help save the earth and use cloth" dilemma.

Oh come on! You don't want to use the biodegradable ones that are $12 for 12 of them?! I know exactly what you mean. It would be so much easier if they were just reasonably priced! I wanted to buy some biodegradable diaper wipes, but honestly who shells out $9.99 for 40 wipes? Yes, yes, I know. I can put a wet wash cloth in a baggie. But I'm just SO not into that!! I think more people would use the environmentally friendly stuff if it were even more expensive but still reasonable. But the some of the stuff I've seen out there? It's like you'd have to be from Mars to buy it!!

You are so right! I had one of the moms at preschool pushing chlorine free diapers on me and I told her I just couldn't afford them.

I feel guilty for not trying cloth. Oh well.

I do splurge on some organics (always milk & meat) and Seventh Generation products. I do what I can within our budget.

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to feed my flowers organically.

Even the regular disposable diapers are too expensive.

But I can't believe these big diaper manufacturers can't come up with something that would at least be a compromise. Something in-between the regular stuff and the biodegradable, at a reasonable price. So we wouldn't be doing AS MUCH damage.
