We're re-doing some things in our house. And we're sitting up an extra bedroom where I need two twin beds and an extra dresser.

My husband and I were orginally were talking about buying brand new. And I have to admit that it was tempting. But then of course I got to thinking about the cost and the environment and the fact that we already have a LOT of beds (from our former days of working with a group home).

Anyway, we got to talking and the two new beds we were looking at were blue. Nothing special just blue. And I got to thinking, how hard would it be for me to paint our two beds and one dresser blue myself! We'll even switch our the handles on the dresser!

Of course that does mean more work for me ... why does being green always involve more work!

All of our dressers are repainted hand-me downs. It is more work but it so much cheaper! I put new pulls on them also.

I was also looking for a "borrowed" dresser from family for my girls' room. I was going back-and-forth about just going and buying one, but that's a waste of both resources and $$$.
