I went totally "green" in my home about 3 weeks ago! I absolutely LOVE it! I found the best stuff. My kids asthma and allergies are Soooooo much better now. This green stuff is really great. I would recommend it to anyone!

So you really did see a difference in your kids allergies and asthma? That is so cool! How long did it take before you noticed a difference? I've read that people have had success but I personally have not experienced it. I kind of wish that I worked with the group home again -- I could have experimented on the boys with green cleaning!

I was thinking about this today while cleaning the bathroom. What is better about "green" cleaning products? Is it that the chemicals are bad for the environment? For your children? Is it the cost (baking soda etc being cheaper)?

I use such a small amount of cleaning products that I'm wondering how much of a difference it would make anyway. Although I am not about to give up my magic erasers

What products are you using? We have bad allergies and the beings of asthma at our house and i am considering going to all green cleaning products.

Do you make your own or buy green products?

Not completely green yet, but I'm working on it. Dh is slowly coming around to my way of thinking, he doesn't believe me so much with the "disinfecting" aspect yet. I have a son with asthma and he's much better. I don't know for sure if it's the lack of chemical cleaners or what.

Oh I wanted to add that I make my own...

We are having a green cleaning chat on Wednesday, April 23 at 1pm Central time! You guys should join us in the discussion!

I haven't gone totally clean, because I still use anything I get free.

We are in 100% green transition. I just switched our dishwashing detergent today. Tomorrow I'll be going through all my bathroom cleaning products and making labels for all the homemade products and throwing out all the commercial cleaners. I will be doing the same for my solution for mopping my floors as I've found what I LOVE now!!!!

By this time next week we'll be 100% green!

We are all green here except 1/2 of the dishwasher soap as the glasses are foggy with my homemade soaps. My asthma has not been an issues since I stopped the bleach.
