We would always get the $1 deal (popcorn&soda) and the lady told us it wasn't going on anymore. Now we need to pay a whooping $2.16 for both things! Ahhaa
So It Went up to 1.08 for 1 Popcorn and Soda OR Is that 2.16 for one popcorn and Soda??

Whoa!!
We love that Deal.... It only Costs Me A Buck to Make My Son happy For Being a Good Boy in the Cart.

Sorry to Hijack

I Never ever even Thought about Resoling shoes ...

I Actually Thought that was a Thing of Long ago.

The last time dh had a nice pair of his resoled, it was $30. I thought that was high. They were $100 shoes, so we just did it but I agree sometimes it's more cost-effective to just buy new shoes.

I've paid $50 to get my birkenstocks resoled, but they cost $155 new, so it was very much worth it.

Where we live, the shopping is very limited. To shop at an outlet center (where they have DH's shoes for the best prices), it means I have to drive 45 minutes away. This means I don't go often . . . only when I have a list and a good chunk of time and money!

So, for me, re-soling, at least once, is worth it. However, when this pair starts looking worn, I'll likely just buy a new pair.

There's no "Oh Crap!" icon or I'd use it...I recently got rid of several birkenstocks...and I LOVE my birkenstocks! Like taylyn, I wasn't even aware that people still resoled shoes...I'll have to look into that...I hate getting rid of shoes that look perfect and that we love.

Supposedly, w/ Birkenstock, you can get new rubber soles OR you can also get the entire cork bottom of the shoe replaced. I've only been able to find a shoemaker here who does the resoling. I've never found anyone who replaces the entire footbed, although it's supposedly a selling point for birks. Well - now you know!

There is a place around here where you can get your shoes made completely from scratch. Not as in a tailors, more like some hippies who draw around your feet and go from there!
For some reason people would rather buy lots of pairs of cheap shoes than a nice pair which will last
