Sometimes I think what it'd be like to have a huge house... but this is so big it's just plain silly.

Inside-the-World's-First-Billion-Dollar-Home: Personal Finance News from Yahoo! Finance

All I can say is I'm glad to have my little 700 square foot house where I can feel at home and cozy. I guess the simple life isn't for everyone..

Interesting article. Usually when I read things like that, I can't help but think how much good that money could be put towards more useful things - you know feeding hunrgy people, educating children, and I still think that but I see this couple is putting some of their money to good use. They are mostly only using workers and supplies from their home country. And that provides jobs for their local economy -- if that house was being built in the U.S. 75% of it would be outsourced to China.

Thanks for the article!

Is anybody sick of seeing and hearing about how the rich and famous live? I know I am, when so many are struggling. (No offense to OP, it's just amazing how the rich get richer....Do you know Exxon/Mobil just posted 11 BILLION dollars in revenue?

.."The floor also features an ice room where residents and guests can escape the Mumbai heat to a small, cooled chamber dusted by man-made snow flurries."

Give me a break! How absolutely, fiscally irresponsible. I hope they also give to others in need and advocacy groups. It'd be interesting to find out. Thanks for sharing.
