I let our's pile up sort of in a paper sack by the deep freeze. When the bag is full I take it outside to where the large rolling recycle bin is. I rinse out everything to make sure it won't attract bugs.

We have a recycle bin that is just outside our kitchen door where we immediately throw out metal and plastic cans, containers, etc. We have one of those three-compartment laundry hampers in our utility room where we keep lightweight things we can't leave outdoors in the bin. We use one compartment for plastic bottles, one for plastic bags or plastic wrap, and one for paper.

We are fortunate to have a recycling service that is included in our trash pick-up, so we just place the bin out next to the garbage on pick-up day.
