I am trying to avoid rushing out for more lotions/bottles in my bathroom but I cannot stand my dry feet. My regular lotion is just not working - any simple/cost effective ideas???

Yes ... Vaseline or the even cheaper, generic petroleum jelly. This is a persistent problem of mine and after investing hundreds of dollars in all sorts of creams, lotions, miracle cures and appliances, it is petroleum jelly alone (often covered with socks overnight) that works the best. I'm going to go apply some more now.

I exercise a lot and I have terrible callouses. I hate it because I need them so my feet don't hurt when I am working out but they look awful in sandals! I use Sally Hansen cracked heel relief (at night with socks) a couple of times a week and the day after I use it my feet look pretty darn good, but the callouses come back by the next day. I have never tried the straight vaseline but I have some in the cabinet so I will try that tonight. Thanks cookie2.

I keep a jar of cheap Eucerin type cream at my bedside. It is really thick. It is part of my bedtime routine to do my feet and hands. Always sandal ready feet.

When I married, I told him that if he wanted to put his feet in the same bed as mine, he had to do something about his feet. From that day forward, he has lotioned his feet after every shower. Just regular cheap lotion and his feet aren't baby smooth, but I really appreciate the dedication. I even play footsies with him.

Olive oil is wonderful too. It only takes a few drops!

I'm diabetic and my doctor is always concerned about my feet... *I'M concerned about how yucky they look* but I CANNOT STAND wearing 'real shoes and socks' in the warm weather

He had me get bag balm and I'm s'posed to use it every night *with booties/socks* I miss sometimes and BOY can you tell if I skip a few nights

I was going to say this too. It really works .. if you can wear socks while you sleep after you've smothered your feet in bag balm. Then all day they are soft and smooth and you can wear any kind of sandals. Even if you can just do it for an hour before bed, it will really make a difference.

I'm also a vaseline/petroleum jelly user. I'm able to sleep with socks on over it and it works really well (and I wear flip flops most of the year). I've never heard of bag balm, I'll have to keep my eyes open for it. Does it have a nice smell? That's the only thing missing from vaseline...
