With two kids, a husband, part time work, and volunteer activities, I sometimes feel overwhelmed keeping track of everyone schedule and making sure everyone is where they are suppose to be (including me).

How do you simplify keeping track of all the different things you do everyday and throughout the week?

Just find a way that works for you. Believe it or not, I pretty much keep everyone in my household's schedule in my head. It is the easiest way for me. It is simpiler than all the schedulers and planners and such.

I have a calendar on my desk, and I keep mine and the boys schedules in there. I work full-time, DH works mad hours, and travels half the month, so i'm pretty much solo here. And with 3 boys, and me working full-time, I need a calendar. Somedays I don't have space on my calendar, so I end up using stickys on the date.

We are a two parent both work outside home with three boys family. Our boys each get to pick two activities to be in at a time so it's usually Boy Scouts and sports. We also attend church and associated activities.

I go against conventional organizational direction and use two paper calendars - one at work and one at home. However, they both contain basically the same information.

The one at work includes all work related stuff, which I don't put on the home one. It does have all the home stuff on it - medical/dental appointments, the boys sports schedules, Boy Scouts events, school events, etc.

The home one has all the family stuff on it. I'm a creature of habit so things get put on both with no problem.

I just keep a paper planner that I write everything in as I know about it. Then I have a small dry erase board that I got on clearance at Target. It is divided into the days of the week, so every Sunday evening I fill it out for that week. That way it is in front of me and also writing it out on Sunday reminds me of everything so I don't forget any appointments.

I just keep a regular calender on the wall in the kitchen and I check it every morning. I write school activities, sports, appointments for doctors, dentist, ect, playdates. It makes life so much easier!

I don't have much to keep track of so the simple calendar is good enough for me. I do have my list of things that need to get done throughout the day and week, but I don't set a time limit.

I have a planner that I write everything in (grocery lists, weekly menu, to do lists and everyone's schedule). That way I am always on top of things.

I have an electronic calendar that is downloaded to my phone. (I have it for work so I use it for my personal stuff too)

It keeps me on track because everything is in one place.

I do have a loose leaf notebook with page protectors and folders to keep all items for each child and the household in and I immediately organize them as they come in the door. (It is so much worse during the school year.) I put deadlines for when I need to purchase a particular thing in the calendar on my phone and set an alarm to remind me.

This is the ONLY way I could keep it all straight.

I have a simple, blank calendar on my fridge and I have to write everything on it or I forget stuff. Sometimes I get overwhelmed when I have a couple things scheduled on the same day, even though I hate having nothing to do all day.
