Okay, I know that the holidays are very far off but I would love to make some of my gifts this year.
Anyone have ideas? What have you made that people just loved?

Thanks
Rebecca

I found 1 cute idea.

Use a photo of your children in black and white.
Print a grand kids poem on vellum paper and put it over the top.
Frame it and give as a gift.

You could also make this for any newlywed couple.

I am going to make my siblings a CD of the songs we sang with my mom the night she died. I am also sewing my brother some boxers (he LOVES the ones my mom made for him more than store bought), but that is for his birthday in a few months. Other homemade gifts I've given in the past are crocheted scarves, frozen peach cobbler filling, patchwork quilts, greeting card sets and monogrammed notecards.

Well, i don't know how much you are willing to spend but just some ideas would be chocolate lollipops in the shapes of candy canes, snowman, etc. These would be great for children to hand out as little gifts to their close friends. For a craft idea maybe buying clear christmas bulbs and decorate them with paint and glitter. I will try to think of more ideas.

Cookie mix or waffle mix in a glass jar (with all the dry ingredients pressed on top of one another so it looks pretty).

This past Christmas I made Journal Jars for all the women in my family. I bought (at yard sales) canning jars...then I printed off topics for journalling on decorated paper I bought at the dollar store(off a website I found on the net...) topics were things like: my first pet, my first day of school, my favorite birthday, wedding memories, things I liked to do as a college kid, as a little kid, ect....then I cut the topics apart with crinkle cut scissors and put the strips in the jar. I covered the top of the jar with fabric and a raffia ribbon and bought them a journal from Family Christian (4.00 on sale) and a pen. Now they can journal about their life and it will be a great keepsake for the children and grandchildren.

One year I sewed tote bags for everyone. I might do that again, since so many are using them now to avoid plastic bags. Also sewing fleece items (hats, mittens, throws).
