We keep our homes running by organizing and cleaning it here are some good petkeeping tips:

PET BO ~ If the house smells funky, it could be something tracked in from outdoors or seasonal shedding. Vacuum the spots where your pet likes to hang out and place shallow bowls of vinegar (out of reach of pets) in the lustiest places to absorb odor. Wash bedding every few weeks and in between those times sprinkle with baking soda to deodorize, shake it out after 20 minutes. Brush your kitty or pooch daily.

GROSS PET BOWLS ~ Moist leftovers that stick to the side of the bowl can cause a stink. For easier cleanup apply nonstick cooking spray before adding food.

DROOL ~ Since dogs cool down by panting, most will drool more during these months. So put a catchall rubber or plastic place mat under water and food dishes to contain the mess. Keep an old towel near the door where your pets come in, so you can swipe goo from paws and faces.

FLEAS AND TICKS ~ Fleas lay an incredible number of eggs, ehich can create an awful infestation in your home. If your pet is bringing in fleas, comb first, then bathe him and consult your vet about flea dipping. Wash bedding and vacuum often to help control the spread. Ticks also ride in on pets and may nestle in upholstery, curtains or under rugs, check those areas and vacuum well. Remove ticks as soon as you see them and if any are embedded, have a vet check for a possible infection

I wash buddy's bowl after every meal (he only gets 1/2 c in the morning and 1/2 c in the evening, he is on a diet!)

He gets a bath every Saturday night.

He gets brushed every day, because he sheds!
