I agree with all the previous posts. Although I do watch some TV, I definately watch so much less than in years past. I find most of it annoying.

I loved the poster who said she liked being present in her life. I was just thinking that the other day. I also liked the post before me (I've got to figure out how to quote)....being home with my kids & not being a slave to things...AMEN!!!

I'd add that I hope I am passing all this on to my kids. I hope they spend their time and talents on the things that truely matter.

Hi kittens...

I said "i am a backpacker" in my first message...
so i hope; i can say something about simple life... :-)
i guess, we cant say "no tv is simple life"

i have 3 wear for summer and 3 wear for winter... all of them in my bag.
my bag on my shoulder. :-)
simple life is this...

i never concentrate to earn money...
i concentrate to my dreams and the money followed me...

example...
i want to learn making earthenware pot...
i went to turkey and while learning it i work with farmer. :-)
i learned it and i went to another country...

so...
my life in my mind.
i think and do...
so life is simple...

(please excuse me for my language. i dont speak english good. (yet))

think possitive be winner
kisses kittens

Enjoying my children, I love to cook so making things from scratch is a joy for me. I guess slowing down and savoring life and paying attention to things I have never noticed before.

more time. My husband says he feels he is more in control of his hobbies. People always say they don't have time to read, but what are they spending that time doing? watching TV or running around?

I love not having stress over little stuff. I love not having expectations that are not met (usually) nor are realistic. I love spending time with my kids doing fun things that do not cost money....things that they will remember. I love having ways to be creative.

I love laying out a meal of items we grew/raised/preserved ourselves. It's so satisfying to see all the 'sales' in grocery circulars and know that my pantry is full already. Now THAT's saving money!! **big grin**
