This just appeared on my tv a couple of weeks ago. I like it! There is this show called Renovation Nation where the guy from This Old House goes in to a house and makes remodeling more environmentally friendly and efficient. Has anyone else noticed it? I think the whole network is new.

It was called the Discovery Home channel before they changed the name. Renovation Nation has been on for awhile on. I like some of the shows but someone replace the host of Wasted. The british verison is so much better and does not make people feel bad about not doing everything she says. She acts like what she says is gold but you need to use common sense. too. One episode she wanted this guy to bike five miles to work everyday which does not sound bad until you saw the road he would have to take. It was like trying to ride a bike down I-95.

I keep seeing the ads for this channel I guess I will have to check it out. I like the idea of going green but for some reason a lot of people don't understand that replacing your old with new "green" materials isn't really all that green. Afterall where does the old stuff go LOL. I totally understand replacing something that is harmful but to replace just because something is green is a little silly IMHO.

ITA. I have seen this channel. I was actually looking forward to it all spring (since they have been announcing it) but I was really disappointed with the actual programming. There really are not that many "new" green ideas on any of the shows that us real people can do. I mean all the shows about building green are not for your average everyday person. I think they need to gear some of their shows to going green on a budget and changes EVERYONE can do to make a difference. I mean some of the ideas are great but would take a lot of money to actually accomplish.
