I overshop; I admit it. I'm working on that. But how bad have I been in the past? Really bad. This past weekend I put in a lot of clothes and stuff at our local consignment sale. Up for sale: 120 items of clothing! Yes, 120. And that was after I had given away tons of clothes to a niece and nephew. Sickening.

The good news: I sold roughly 100 of the 120 items. Not bad. I got at least a dollar per item (higher for some things but I priced them all low), and since I generally only payed 25-50 cents for most of it at garage sales, I least got my money back.

But still I am a bad girl.... must stop shopping....

Well my name is Stacia and I am a recovering shopaholic! I'm doing pretty good! Well much better than I used to anyway!

Bargains will always be my undoing - I was at target picking up a prescription and just wanted to "CHECK" the clearance shelf (my 1st mistake in the 12 step program); school stuff was getting marked down so I get excited - then I stopped myself. Just because crayons are .07 do I really need 10 more boxes?? My boys will use them, but come on, I already have 10 boxes in my supply closet because I bought tons when they were .10 a box. I NEED TO GET A GRIP! Must stay away.....

This kind of thing is my downfall too. I have to tell myself that just because it's a great deal doesn't mean I need it. That's how I've ended up with boxes of crayons, colored pencils and folders. I'll use them eventually but it was more about the rush of finding a good deal and having THINGS. So many things weigh me down.

Which consignment shop do you use?? I have gone to a few here in SUmmerville and ended up with very little for my items- many new with tags!! Its worth the drive to Mt Pleasant if I could get a dollar for most items! Thanks!
