I have posted before about my nephew but many of you may not have read about it. He has been placed in my moms home for one year now. Before that, he was living with his step-father. My brother is his father and he is in PA and his mother is trying to get custody back. I know the following for a fact:
She is living with a man who is not her husband and whom Corey (nephew) doesn't know
She has failed drug screens for prescribed narcotics
She has no job and claims that she will be recieving disablility soon
She has not attempted to get her other two children back
She has never worked before
She missed some of her mediated visits with him (1 hr every 2 weeks)

The court actually said that they wanted him placed back with her before Aug 1st and that they would push for it. They finally decided to let him start staying there on Fridays from 6pm to Sunday 6pm. They told my mom today (TUES) that they decided this and that he starts on this Friday. How can they let this happen? Please pray that she's truly ready for him. It's not that we don't want him with his mom. We want him to be SAFE! If she can provide a safe home, we are happy for him to be with his mom. Everything in me says that this isn't right. Please pray for him. Thank you.

BTW. I decided that since I'll be at work most of the time, I want to stay on the board because many of you have been so sweet and loving. I also want to tell Melanie that I am sorry that things got carried away and I would like to see her back here posting.

I am sorry to hear about this situation. I know it must be hard for you. I will pray that his mother is ready to have her ds in her life and that she will do what is necessary to keep him safe and healthy. Hopefully, all will work out for the best.

Praying that God puts a shield around your nephew! Prayers that this works out for the best.
