Every year I prepare small tokens of recognition for all the mothers at church. Last year I wrote a poem dedicated to my mother and included it with the gifts. Since, Mother's Day is quickly approaching, I thought I'd share the poem here with you. I hope you enjoy it!

A Mother . . .
For my Mom by Angela

A mother knows the little things
That make a day complete
Her loving ways and tender words
That make one’s way so sweet

A mother feels her child’s pain
And celebrates his bliss
She watches so anxiously
And prays for happiness

A mother will surrender all
To keep her child from sin
She asks the Lord to grant a wish
To give strength from within

A mother seems to know all things
The burdens that one bares
She holds a child’s tiny hand
And whispers how she cares

A mother does the best she can
And hopes that it’s enough
She knows the world will be hard
And times will get tough

A mother knows one’s hopes and dreams
And senses the deepest fears
She gives a kiss and gentle hug
And wipes away the tears

A mother sees the rainbow
When clouds are everywhere
She knows that God will find a way
To show His loving care

A mother sees the good in all
And knows each can succeed
She listens to her heart of hearts
And allows the Lord to lead

A mother is a special gift
Sent from God above
She teaches us to live and learn
She teaches us to love

 Happy Mother's Day, Everyone!:love

Thanks to those who liked the poem. I received notice last week that it (in an abbreviated form) was chosen for publication this summer!

Don't forget all the mothers this Sunday! There are several in our church who have lost their children or live far away from them. These moms really appreciate being acknwledged by others on this special day.

God Bless All You Wonderful Mothers, Mothers-to-Be and TTC Ladies! You are all so special to Him and have such an important role in His Family! Happy Mother's Day!

This was a poem that I wrote last year for the mothers in our church. I thought I'd bump it for all the new members.

Happy Mothers' Day to all!

Thank you for bumping that up. It was beautiful, you're a very inspirational writer! I am going to print that off and include it with my gift to my mom.
